The photos (right) are of our fabulous intern Shelby Scudder, who is our brand new HOLLYWOULD CUSTOMER OF THE MONTH.  You too can earn this award and $150 Gift Certificate by sending us photos of you in your HOLLYWOULD, so send us your glam shots today!

I've just returned from Palm Beach and am still recovering from our fabulous soiree which was co-hosted by all of Palm Beach's chicest social members of The Whitehall Society at the gorgeous and historic Flagler Museum.  The evening was divine and we'll have photos to prove it by the end of the week, I promise.

In the meantime, be the first to buy our new Cruise 2007 Collection which has just arrived in stores this week and is already selling out fast!  I'm heading down to the store today to make sure I get my size in everything so I don't end up shoe-less and dress-less this Christmas!  Our Fall 2006 is also on sale, which means it's the perfect time to get the perfect dress for all of your holiday parties!  Don't delay, shop today!

And last but not least, a note from one of our favorite customers telling us how much she loves our ballets:

Dear Hollywould Girls,

I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE my new Audrey D'orsay ballets. I recieved the baby pink yesterday and the color is absolutely gorgeous. I also love the beige pair and the navy Hepburns that I purchased a few weeks ago, not to mention those I have bought over the years. I think I'm addicted to them.

The new colors are just outstanding!

Thanks very much, Donna

We love you Donna, and are thrilled to have such a fabulous ballet fan!

I’ve just spent a lovely 2 weeks in Italy designing Fall 2007, and am now off to Palm Beach for a fabulous holiday weekend which will include our huge HOLLYWOULD soiree at the Flagler Museum with all of Palm Beach’s chicest socialettes.  Stay tuned next week for photos galore.

While I’ve been in Italy it’s been a star studded few weeks here, with superstar celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe picking HOLLYWOULD as her “Favorite Shoes for Holiday Party-Hopping” on our new favorite website www.piperlime.com.  Miss Zoe specifically likes the Red Ava & Glitter Royal styles, which means if you haven’t gotten yours yet, you might want to get them before Nicole R, Mischa B, Jessica S, or Lindsay L snags your size!

As if Rachel Zoe’s Midas Touch wasn’t enough, the ultimate fashion guru and Queen of Cool Chloe Sevigny has once again been shopping in our Nolita store, where she picked up a pair of Black Audrey Ballets and Black Glitter Rubys.  We love you Chloe and can’t wait to see you in HOLLYWOULD when they have the “Chloe Sevigny: A Fashion Retrospective” exhibit that I’m sure will one day happen at The Met.  We’re so happy when beauty, talent, and great taste collide.  Thank you Chloe!

Moments after Chloe left the shop another talented beauty Famke Janssen popped in to check out our new ballet assortment, and was shortly thereafter followed by my personal hilarious favorite, Carson Kressley of Queer Eye.  Oh Carson, thank you for shopping with HOLLYWOULD and please let us know whenever you want to come by for drinks.

Last but not least, we’ve just received an order from our new Cruise 2007 collection from none other than the absolutely stunning, fabulously talented, and extraordinarily chic… GWENYTH PALTROW.  That’s right girls, we are thrilled to find out that lovely Gwenyth has placed a personal pre-order for our brand new Black Elba Dress and Black Would Shoes, so you will be seeing her looking fabulous in HOLLYWOULD very, very soon.  We love you Gwenyth!

And for the best news of all… you don’t have to be Gwenyth Paltrow to place a Cruise Pre-Order (although we have to admit it does help).  You too can buy Cruise 2007 before it hits the stores by shopping online, so click http://www.ilovehollywould.com/cruise2007.php and place your order before your size is gone.

And while we're on the subject of STARS, as you can see in the photos right, our Super Intern Shelby has just sent us photos of her wearing HOLLYWOULD in St. Louis.  We think she looks so fabulous we've decided to make her our new CUSTOMER OF THE MONTH, which means she wins a $150 Gift Certificate to the HOLLYWOULD store!  Contratulations Shelby and Thank You for rockin' the HOLLYWOULD in Nellyville!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! xoxoHolly

I have just been reminded of a few more things that definitely did NOT happened at Samantha Leas & Jonathan Gauntt’s wedding (see below).  First, Elizabeth Meigher did not (and would not ever because she’s far too proper) grab the microphone from the band and belt out “When I Think About You I Touch Myself” to the entire wedding crowd in absolute perfect pitch.  Second, Hudson Morgan did not (and would not ever because he’s too polite) do the Dirty Lambada in front of Sam’s new inlaws.  And last, Nicky Coleman did not (and would not ever because he loathes parties, dancing, and music) bribe Wonderbread, the band, into playing one more set and then proceed to breakdance, headspin, and do the crazy alligator on the dancefloor like it was his job.  None of that happened.  None of it.

As you can see from the pictures to the right, Samantha Leas & Jonathan Gauntt’s wedding in Palm Beach was pretty much of a bore.  No one had a fabulous time, none of the guests liked each other, no one danced all night, no one sang “Pour Some Sugar On Me” at the top of their lungs, no one had a single drop to drink, no one wore bright colors, no one threw gang signs, no one hooked up with a random girl they met at Cucina, no one ended up skinny dipping, no one passed out on the bathroom floor wearing only a towel and was found there in the morning by their friend’s mom, no one remotely liked the band, and no one is still recovering from a week old hangover and soreness due to out of control dance moves.  No one.

Fortunately, despite the lack of abovementioned fun, Samantha was truly the prettiest bride we’ve ever seen, and Jonathan the handsomest groom, which made up for everyone’s straight-laced and prim behavior.

The weekend began with a lovely Rehearsal Dinner at the Sailfish Club, which was where I discovered that Samantha & Jonathan had been nice enough to invite all of my very favorite people from New York to their Palm Beach wedding.  We all sipped cocktails while watching a fabulous slideshow of Sam & Jonathan as kids, which convinced us all that when and if they ever decide to have children, their kids’ cuteness is going to put Apple, Suri, and Shiloh to shame.  The moon that night was gorgeous, the toasts were hilarious & sweet, the Cardinals won The World Series, and dessert was a make-your-own-sundae-buffet, so we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening.  Thank you for having us!

From the Sailfish Club we all headed to Cucina for a night of Palm Beach revelry.  Somehow my partner in crime for the evening ended up being Hudson Morgan, who thankfully has every hip-hop station in America memorized, and agreed that my rented Chevrolet Aveo was the most pimped out ride in town.  The wedding posse took over Cucina and made a few new friends along the way, and by the time I left everyone was throwing back Coronas and singing Paris Hilton’s “Stars Are Blind” like their lives depended on it.

The following evening was the big wedding shin-dig, which was held at the home of Lilly Pulitzer, who is the world’s greatest hostess and also happens to be my fashion mentor and one of my favorite people on the planet.  The house was decked out in spectacular tropical flair and the wedding took place in a bamboo style chapel with seashell chandeliers and orchids cascading from the ceiling.  You couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting and when Samantha rounded the corner looking drop-dead gorgeous in her dress, it was the icing on the tropical cake.

As soon as we all finished dinner the band “Wonderbread” began, and despite everyone’s hangovers from the night before, we all rallied and managed to cut a serious rug until the break of dawn.  Thank you Sam & Jonathan for hosting such a fabulous wedding, and CONGRATULATIONS on getting hitched!!!

…and they all lived happily ever after.
