1 –  DIRECTOR OF RETAIL  

Responsibilites Include:

• Managing HOLLYWOULD New York flagship and Palm Beach retail locations and running e-commerce business, including order fulfillment.
• Direct responsibility for P & L of retail stores and e-commerce business, with regular reporting on sell throughs and profitability.
• Responsibility for marketing and staffing budget.
• Management of full time & part time staff.
• Event planning.

Experience / Skills Needed:

• Minimum four year College Degree
• Two years luxury goods experience.  Retail, marketing, or e-commerce experience preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Management or P&L responsibility a plus.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Compensation:

• Job will be based in flagship store on Elizabeth Street in Nolita, NYC
• Salary & commission package commensurate with experience.
• Start Date:  As soon as possible

2 – ASSISTANT GENERAL STORE MANAGER

Responsibilites Include:

• Customer service and management at HOLLYWOULD’s NYC retail location
• Website & e-commerce responsibilities.

Experience / Skills Needed:

• College Degree
• Upscale retail or luxury goods experience a plus.

Compensation:

• Job will be based in retail store on Elizabeth Street in Nolita, NYC
• Salary & commission package commensurate with experience.
• Start Date:  Sept 12^th

3 - ASSISTANT TO WHOLESALE DIRECTOR

Responsibilites Include:

• General administrative support to the Sales Director
• Compilation of sales reports
• Market week & trade show preparation
• Marketing materials production and distribution
• Sales support & staff training for wholesale accounts
• Customer service to all wholesale accounts
• Maintaining global account list (editing & updating as necessary)
• Order entry & management

Experience / Skills Needed:

• Must be highly organized and detail oriented, with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.  Power Point a plus!
• Must be a college graduate.
• Prior sales or fashion experience required.

Compensation:

• Job will be based in showroom on 57^th Street in Manhattan with frequent travel to US and European locations.
• Full time position with competitive salary/commission package.
• Start Date:  As soon as possible

4 – ASSISTANT TO PRESS DIRECTOR

Responsibilites Include:

• Managing all sample inventory
• Coordinating all sample traffic and managing press lending records
• Organizing and updating press books
• Packing and shipping of samples for trunk shows, trade shows, & photography
• Keeping sample inventory in good repair
• Procurement of random things in emergency situations (i.e. double stick tape, blue tissue paper, old copies of Italian Vogue, etc.)
• Assist in production of all special events
• Press related administrative duties

Experience / Skills Needed:

• Must be addicted to fashion magazines.
• Must be resourceful, highly organized, detail oriented, and willing to do non-glamorous jobs!
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.  Photoshop a huge plus!
• Must be a college graduate. 

Compensation:

• Full time position with entry level salary.
• Start Date:  As soon as possible.
• Job will be based in showroom on 57^th Street in Manhattan.

5 - FALL INTERN

Responsibilites Include:

• General assistant for all areas of company including press, sales, marketing, and operations.

Experience / Skills Needed:

• You must be a college graduate.
• You must have a place to live in NYC for the duration of your internship.
• You must be able to work 4 to 5 days/week for at least 8 weeks.  Work hours are 9am – 5pm, Mon-Friday. Please request the dates which you would like to work. We do not take interns for periods longer than 12 weeks.
• You must be able to use Office programs (yes, even you designers).  Basic Word & Excel a must.  Photoshop a huge plus. 
• You do NOT need to want to be a “designer”.  We would LOVE to have some business majors or other liberal arts majors who want to work on the business side of fashion. 

Compensation:

• Internship is unpaid and will be based in showroom on 57^th Street in Manhattan.
• Start Date:  As soon as possible

So sorry it’s been so long, but lately I’ve been so busy I completely forgot I had this diary!  The last few weeks have been a little bit loco, but here’s the latest scoop:

The lovely and talented Maggie Gyllenhall was shopping chez HOLLYWOULD this week.  We love Maggie because not only is she an amazing actress and fashion icon, but she also happens to be super gracious & sweet.  Speaking of sweet, gracious, talented beauties, last week another HOLLYWOULD favorite, Jamie Lynn Discala was shopping at HOLLYWOULD with her mom.  Talk about sweet!  In other fabulous celebrity news, rumor has it that beautiful Kirsten Dunst may be wearing one of our favorite HOLLYWOULD dresses from our pre-Spring 2006 collection on an upcoming cover of one of the best fashion mags around.  You’ll have to wait to see it, and trust me, we’ll let you know when it hits the stands.   And last but certainly not least, everyone’s favorite SNL super star Molly Shannon is currently filming a movie in the oh-so-chic Hamptons and we’ve been told she’ll be wearing all sorts of HOLLYWOULD dresses for her role.  The working title for the film is “Shut Up And Sing”, and we’re 100% sure it will be a laugh-til-you-cry smash!

The biggest news, however, is that we have temporarily closed our HOLLYWOULD store in Nolita for a major face lift and expansion.  For our extreme makeover, we’ve called in our own architect version of “Dr. 90210” to give the store the contractor’s equivalent of a nose job, lip injections, brow lift and chin tuck.  We plan to re-open with our new & beautiful store by the end of September, and in the meantime you can still get your HOLLYWOULD at the stores listed below and many more:

It’s official… HOLLYWOULD makes people fall in love and get married!  Remember that Valentine’s Day Kegger we had store back in February at our NYC store?  Well, apparently a love connection was made when male party guest Peyton met female party guest Phoebe, and they fell head over heels in love.  So in love, in fact, that they’ve just gotten engaged!  That’s some powerful Rhinegold.  Congratulations Peyton & Phoebe, our favorite new HOLLYWOULD couple!

The Hamptons

Hello HOLLYWOULD Girls!  As you can see in the photos to the right, last weekend in East Hampton our favorite jeweler on earth, Tiffany, hosted a fabulous party to launch the new HOLLYWOULD Cruise 2005 Collection, which won’t hit stores until November.  We were also celebrating Tiffany’s Elsa Peretti jewelry collection, which is breathtakingly gorgeous and goes absolutely perfectly with our new line.  My favorite piece of all was a divine gold starfish necklace that I would really, really love to own (hint, hint).

All of our favorite party guests turned out for the soiree decked in Tiffany jewels and HOLLYWOULD dresses, including Jessica Joffe, Olivia Chantecaille, Melissa Berkelhammer, and our very own Elisabeth Gutowski, Jessica Stambaugh, and Anne Schoknecht.  Also in attendance and looking tres, tres chic was Sara Dallaire, Jamie Johnson, Tracy Stern, Jennifer Bell and many more fabulous guests.

As usual on a Hampton’s summer day, our cocktailing began early at the Bridgehampton Polo Match, and went late into the evening, ending somewhere between the JL Restaurant (where we saw John Bon Jovi!), a Baby Phat party (where we didn’t see Kimora Lee), and the Cabana nightclub (where the very old & very young dance the night away).  Our summer intern Jessica Stambaugh was the star of the evening, as she is only 19 years old and hence didn’t have a single drop to drink.  In fact, Jessica has never had a drop to drink because she’s not yet 21 and doesn’t want to break the law.  Hi Mrs. Stambaugh.

The night before our party Elisabeth and I attended a film screening in Southampton for a new movie called “Asylum”, which I highly recommend if you’re ever feeling like life’s gotten a bit too cheery.  After the movie we headed to a delightful bonfire dinner on the beach hosted by Elle magazine with some of New York City’s favorites including Whitney Chasey, Eric Villency, and Jim Shi.  My dinner partner happened to be NBC News Chief Legal Correspondent Dan Abrams, who I didn’t recognize due to the fact that I get all of my news by watching E! Entertainment.  Dan, however, was wise to my type and by the end of the evening had me enraptured with stories of what it was like to meet every member of the Jackson family, from Tito to Jermain to LaToya.  Amazing.  Other dinner guests included HOLLYWOULD’s favorite celebrity moms Cathy Hilton & Janice Combs.  We love these moms as much as their kids, and when Janice told me I could call her “my other mother”, I practically changed my last name to “Combs” on the spot.  We love you Janice!

Now I’m back in NYC for the entire month of August so stay tuned for more fun in the sun…
